Today has been a good day. After some time set aside for office cleaning, I’ve used today to make some headway in fixing some bugs in my online portfolio. Today I have
- Opened up each of the categories to display up to 100 projects per category.
- Updated the wp_query on each page to display in random order on each load or page refresh
- Fixed some visual bugs with the header that caused the menu to be partially obscured behind my logo. It’s not perfect now but much better on all views and devices.
My next priority for this to add the correct links to each project’s permalink. What I’ve done for now is add links to the JSON file so all that needs to be added is the unique page slug for the project. And then, work out how to remove the instance index.php appearing in the permalinks. Once done it should be relatively swift and easy to remove these from the “portfolio_url” property in my JSON data file.
