Today I fixed some bugs in a couple of pages where I dynamically list the projects in my portfolio (and beyond) and their current status. The way I display the data is via JSON.
It ought to have been a quick and simple process. I wish it was. I have lost hours of time wondering why files won’t update. And hours of time not simply realising that the process had worked but due to browser caching in JSON can’t difference didn’t appear on the screen… which is frustrating and waste of my time.
Sometimes it’s just a case of doing a hard refresh in the browser, but in this case, what it took was clearing browser data for the last 24 hours (I did it in Chrome).
